Admissions Operations Generalist

The position reports directly to the Assistant Director for Enrollment Operations.

The Admissions Operations Generalist engages in tactical activities within the operations team for the day to day collection and processing of prospective student data, documents and related items as needed for the successful admission and enrollment to UST. The Admissions Operations Generalist will serve the student population needs of traditional undergraduate, transfer, international, nursing and associate of applied sciences students in addition to the universities visiting, dual credit and other special student types as needed. The position is predominantly tactical and aids in the streamlining of the student experience across all populations as it pertains to operations activity in processing, imaging, uploading, importing supporting items for student records into the university CRM, Slate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Engages in the collection and processing of student documents and supporting items necessary for admission application evaluation and review. Proposes solutions to any challenges in efficiency and works with supervisor to implements change where appropriate.
  • Leverages the use of the university wide CRM (Hobsons Radius moving towards Technolutions Slate) and SIS (PeopleSoft) to ensure operational efficiency for any university stakeholder.
  • Engages in the process established for generation and dissemination of any print items required for student admission inclusive of letter stuffing preparation and mass mailings.
  • Engages in application uploading and processing from the various platforms utilized in the admission process for the intake of applications. These may include but are not limited to ApplyTexas, Slate, etc.
  • Coordinating routine data cleanup processes for both internal and external stakeholder to include data hygiene of prospect and applicant data, CRM deduplications, record merging and manipulation as needed.
  • Engages in importing and exporting prospective student data to university CRM and SIS from various vendor platforms.
  • Engages as necessary with third party university partners that provide prospective student data to UST for uploading and processing in institutional databases across all target populations of students.
  • Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by supervisor.
  • Serve on University committees as assigned.


  • 1-2 years of experience in data processing preferred.
  • Demonstration of proven leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and oral and written communication skills combined with a high level of energy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Established record of meeting and exceeding deadlines.
  • Sophisticated understanding of admission CRMs and related software, data, and research preferred. Preference given to candidates with experience in Technolutions Slate, Campus Management, Sales Force and Ellucian Recruiter.
  • Ability to articulate the value of a Basilian education and understanding of the value proposition UST remits.
