Assistant Professor and Associate Director of the Center Semillero

UST is a diverse and vibrant urban environment with professional opportunities and we are currently seeking applications from outstanding candidates for a full-time (non-tenure track) Assistant Professor and Associate Director in The Center Semillero for Hispanic/Latino Theology at the University of St. Thomas
The Center is dedicated to graduate theological education in Spanish to prepare students for the pastoral reality of Latino communities in the United States.
The Assistant Professor and Associate Director will be responsible for assisting the Director with all aspects of the Center's operations, including promotion, recruitment, curriculum development, teaching, and advising. This is a faculty administrator appointment and requires residence in Houston and direct work on campus. It is not a long-distance or online job. The successful candidate will receive the appointment and rank of Assistant Professor.
Requirements:
The successful applicant must
- be fluent in English and Spanish
- possess a terminal degree, i.e., Ph.D. or S.T.D. in Catholic Theology or Ministry
- have significant experience both in academic and pastoral leadership
- possess a record of teaching excellence, with competency to teach both theology and liberal arts according to the Catholic intellectual tradition
